Day 15 -  October 15 – Train to Oxford, Tour Guide Alyssa, Dinner by the Thames. Weather – Cool start in London, clear skies and warm 15 in Oxford The day started badly with Katie waking up in some serious pain. She could hardly move… Had done something to her back – possible strain? This was not a good thing given we were about to pack, and then carry around some huge suitcases and get on and off trains etc… I went down to the mini Waitrose and got some anti-inflammatory meds, and hoped that would be enough to get her through the trip. I ended up packing everything while Katie moaned in pain whenever she moved. Not an ideal sign to be honest. The pain meds seemed to do enough to get her moving, and we made it on to the train without too many issues. The main reason for the side trip to Oxford was too visit Alyssa Glass, my cousin, who’s studying at Oxford Uni. Fishing Trip

Day 32-34 –  Nov 1-3 – Fishing, Hanging out at the condo Weather – Very warm and muggy, then cooling off – 85 to 75F Little bit of a gap in the blog, I’ve fallen a little behind, so I’ll update a few days here. Post Halloween and Lucy had a bit of a sugar hangover. Coming home the night before she said she had a sore tummy and didn’t feel too well. No wonder given the amount of sugar consumed (And god knows what additives they put in all the candy here…). We had planned a quiet Tuesday – I think Rusty was working and Katie had work from 2pm, and we all needed a quite day after all the action from the previous few days. Just relaxing around the pool and the beach seemed like a good idea. Although, it did get off to an exciting start - while we were up at the pool on Monday, a lady mentioned that there was a SpaceX launch today at 9:45am. Moontide Condo - New Smyrna Beach

Day 24-25 –  October 24-25 – Deland to New Smyrna Beach Weather – Sunny – very warm, 28c Picking up the car, new condo by the beach, lots of swimming, Hanging out with Rusty, Chi and Wiley. Finally settled in to the Condo, which will be our base of operations for the next 3 weeks. We’re staying by, actually I should say, on , the beach.  We’re on the 5 th floor of the Moontide condo which, when the tide is high, looks like you are in a cruise ship. The view is straight out into the ocean, and that’s all you can see. I feel like the place should be moving like a ship sometimes. The condo is located across the road from Rusty and Chi, so we can walk across to each other’s place within 2 mins. It’s great to spend time with them again, and I know Lucy is loving spending time with Wiley who is 3 and a half – once again taking on role of older cousin very seriously.
